Glad you
stopped by! Go
down to the river this week, and make a connection with this old force
of nature. "I've
known rivers:
Ancient, dusky rivers.
My soul has grown deep like the rivers."
Langston Hughes (1902–67), U.S. poet.

Information about the Monongahela River
This site is dedicated to providing information about this
great historical river that flows 127 miles from north central West Virginia through
western Pennsylvania to Pittsburgh, where it meets the Allegheny River to
form the Ohio River.
More content will be supplied by young people participating
in the Monongahela Revival (pdf), a program to clean up litter and help build appreciation and
stewardship of the
river while creating leadership among participants. Please let us know
what you'd like to see here.
